Collins, Suzanne. Catching Fire. New York: Scholastic Press, 2009. Print.
This week, the main character has just announced that she is engaged to be married to her fellow tribute, Peeta. Katniss has done this to try to completely convince the Capital that their love for each other is real following their joint victory in the Hunger Games. She is not really in love with Peeta but she does love him and would do anything she could to keep them both safe from retribution.
The novel is written in first person point of view. I can tell because the narrator is Katniss and she refers to herself using the pronoun “I, me, my”. “I dare to raise my eyebrows. They ask what my lips can’t. Did I do it? Was it enough?” (Collins 74).

White, Kiersten. Paranormalcy. New York: Scholastic Inc., 2010. Print.
Paranormalcy is writen in first person point of view. I think this because the main character who is Evie is the narrator so she uses the words I, me, and my when talking and when expressing her thoughts."I was there to bag and tag, not to kill"(White 2).
Sence I just started the book, Evie has started to explain her life and how she works for the International Paranoral Containment Agency even though she's human. She's the only one who can see paranormals and her job is to take down paranormals that have done a crime of some sort."Tasers are a one-size-fits-all paranormal butt-kicking option"(white 2).

The part I’m at in my book is when Katie and her family start falling apart. Her mom now has a job during the day and one at night. Her dad is never around because of work also, and Katie’s sister, Lynn, has a new friend and only hangs around her not her sister. Katie and her little brother stay in the car when her moms at work and while her older sister is at school. Katie starts to realize that her family is falling apart. So, she tries fixing the situation. “My mother’s hours were now from 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 at night. I could tell my life was changing and it was changing fast “(Kadohata 128).
This book is written in first person point of view. I can tell this because the author of the story uses I, me and my to make it sound like Katie is writing it. “My father’s hours changed a lot lately” (Kadohata 89).

Shepard, Sara. Never Have I Ever. New York: Harper Teen, 2011. Print.
This book is about Emma Paxton and her twin sister, Sutton. Emma is in Arizona to see her sister for the first time. But he sister is missing or even worse, dead. Emma got this note that said keep being Sutton or your next. Now Emma has to pretend she's Sutton or else her murderer will come and find her next.
This story is in 3rd person point of view. I know this because Emma is not telling the story, Sutton is. Sutton can see anything Emma can see but she can not talk to Emma. "When I died two weeks ago, I pooped into Emma's world, a world that was as different from mine as you can get," (Shepard 1).

So far in Bitter Melon, Frances goes with her mom to the bank. Her mother pulls out a box with a bunch of expensive jewelry from when Frances was little. Frances is really confused because her mother is making them out to be very poor. Also in the part I read, it is Frances' first day of school. She ends up being in a speech class when she supposed to be in a calculus class. In her speech class is her mother's friend's daughter, Theresa. She doesn't like Theresa because she always gets compared to her. But they end up becoming friends because Theresa helped Frances with something.
This book is in first person point of view. " By freshman year I learned how to pretend that I had plans with other friends so I couldn't hang out with Theresa," (Chow 18).

Donnelly, Jennifer. Revolution. New York: Ember, 2010. Print.
I just started Revolution, which is about a teenage girl named Andi Alpers who is on the border of hopelessness. Devastated at the loss of her younger brother Truman, Andi finds refuge in her music. She is so outraged and heartbroken at all the memories of her brother that she has to take medicine for her sadness. It is now winter break and Andi has not given her outline for her senior thesis yet, and she has no idea what to do with her life. She was just invited to a party, but because of her love for music she was only persuaded to go since her friend was willing to let her play Keith Richards’s guitar. “ ‘I can play it?’ I ask. In a whisper,” (Donnelly 36).
This book is written in first person point of view. I can tell because Andi is the narrator and she speaks using the pronouns “I, me, and my” to describe her emotions and thoughts. “And then they’re gone, and I’m holding Keith Richards’s guitar, and the weight of it in my hands feels thrilling and terrifying at the same time,” (Donnelly 41).

Oughton, Jerrie. Perfect Family. Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 2000. Print.
So far in this story there is about this girl named Welcome, who lives in a small town in the 1950s called Lily. This girl is a junior in high school and has an older sister and brother. Welcome’s sister ran away to California to meet James Dean. Welcome was with her friend, Lydia, waiting for Mrs. Canton to finish sewing her prom dress. While “porch setting”, Welcome meets Mrs. Canton’s son. He gives her a ride home and afterwards Welcome can’t stop thinking about him.
“Well, when Mr. Canton, Mr. Didn’t- Want-to-Give-ME-a-Ride-in-the-First-Place, said that about our house being a mansion, I just ignored him.” (Oughton 5.) This book is written in first person because the author uses words such as I and me.

What this book is about is that a boy named Jack and his mother named Sarah has just moved into a very old house. Jack has been having a tough time lately, having three major asthma attacks and his father passing away. So moving into this old house is like a new start for his mom and him. But, one thing they don’t know about is that they are not the only ones living in the house. Four ghosts also live in the house with them. The ghosts have been trapped in their ever since they died and will never be able to get out. Furthermore, jack has begun to sense things about the person who lived there before him. He has so far discovered that the person who lived in the house before was an old lady who had arthritis, and also just imaged a lady and her daughter in his back yard, and the girl started coughing and in the end coughed up a drop of blood. This could have been something that happened to the old woman who lived there before when she was young. ”The door handle was a recent replacement. No interesting sensations, save a trace from that arthritic hand again” (McNish 23). This is Jack sensing that the woman who lived in the house before had arthritis.
Also the book is told in third person because an unnamed observer tells the story. ”Later, while Sarah went to the nearest town to find a supermarket, Jack slipped upstairs” (McNish 22).

This book is about a prince named Alek who is on the run from his own empire and a girl named Deryn, who is disguised as a boy in the British air force. Britain just declared war on Austria-Hungary, and Alek was working as a temporary part of the crew aboard the Leviathan, the giant fabricated airship created by Darwinists. The Leviathan’s old engines had to be replaced by the Clanker’s engines so that it could fly again. Alek and his crew were to help teach the mechanists how to use them. When they fully understood how the new engines were operated, Alek and his men would be forced to stay in the brig. The Austrians planned to escape after the ship landed in Constantinople, known today as Istanbul. Deryn and became friends with Alek, and didn’t want him to leave, although she gave him some help in planning. Right before Alek left, one of Dr. Barlow’s eggs hatched, forcing Alek to take the newborn beast with him. “To have any hope of escaping, he had to take the newborn animal with him. He could hardly leave it sitting here, bawling its tiny misshapen head off for the whole ship to hear.” (Westerfeld 132).
The story is written in third point of view. I can tell because the author does not use words like “I”, “my”, “me” or “our” except in dialogue. The author replaces these words with “he”, “she”, “his”, “her”, etc. “He glared at her for an endless moment, his eyes prying their way into hers.” (Westerfeld 60).

The book Dreamland is about a girl named Caitlin who woke up on her sixteenth birthday to find her over-achiever sister, Cass to be missing. Of course her over-involved, hysterical mother called the police, while Caitlin’s rational father called Cass, and all of her friends. Cass left a note explaining she had left to be free with her boyfriend Adam. Cass is brilliant and bailed out on Yale to "be free." When Cass and Caitlin were little their mother would kiss them good night and tell them she would se them in dreamland. Dreamland is a place where everyone can see each other in happy times; however they want their dream to be. Caitlin found a journal on her bed titled "Dream Journal", it was from Cass it said, "Caitlin, I'll see you there." (Dessen 5)Caitlin is taking Cass's absences as a chance to prove herself, to prove she is just as amazing as Cass. She decided to do cheerleading because it's something Cass had never done. Cheerleading allowed their mom to get her mind off of Cass’s absence.
This book is written in third person. I know this because the narrator is Caitlin, and she refers to herself using the pronouns “I, me, my”. "All I could think about was that I felt alive for the first time since my birthday."(Dessen 48)

Katniss and her family live in Panem, a very poor town in North America. This future is different from every other kind, as this is based in wastelands where you rarely have any common foods like bread! There is also a tradition called the Hunger Games, where two representatives are chosen from each of the twelve districts to fight to the death as a punishment from the Capitol. When Katniss's little sister Primrose was chosen, Katniss volunteers to take her spot to protect her younger sister. Katness and Peeta, the second representative chosen, then go to the Capitol and see things that they never see too often on their train, and Katniss feels that Peeta is setting up to betray her eventually.

Katrerina just found out that there was paintings stolen, and Hale who is the old friend, needs her help to steal them back.

Although Katniss is rich she has a hard time keeping herself busy because she can only spend time with her best friend Gale on Sundays. So katniss spends most of her time in the woods. The day Katniss is supposed to go to the capitol she arrives home to meet officials from the capitol inside. The officials lead her into a room where inside she finds President Snow. The president found out that Katniss made up the romance with Peeta so they could both go back to district 12 without having to kill each other.
