In the book, Katniss has become the symbol of the rebel’s cause to overthrow the Capital. Sadly, Peeta has been brainwashed to believe that the Capital is good and Katniss is evil. This hurts Katniss because she truly cares for Peeta and wants to rescue him without harm. If I could change one character, I would undo the brainwashing that Peeta has been subjected to so that he can fight with Katniss instead of against her. “ ‘She’s a liar! You can’t believe anything she says...she killed my friends. She killed my family. Don’t even go near her! She’s a mutt!” (Collins 198). A mutt is an evil mutant and Peeta believes Katniss is the cause of his misery.

In the book, Catch a Tiger By The toe, Jamie has continued to lie about her secret to the F.B.I. If I could change something about Jamie, I would change that she has a big secret. This would make her life easier and not have to worry about anything. This is bringing her family further apart because all her mom does is tell her to ignore the F.B.I. Also, I would change that her attitude toward this. Her attitude is that she doesn’t really care what the F.B.I. is doing. "It’s not fair, we always go to yours!" (Levine 51). This is showing that she is trying to get her mind off of this and isn’t helping her family with this situation.

My Character I want to change is the main character, Jeffery. Jeffery is an eight grader that has recently recover from cancer but still has problems. Problems such as Horrible hand writing. (He has to use a lap top now because of this) "We still have damage form the cancer treatment so we get lap tops" (Sonnenblick 17) Other problems as well as this one from his cancer treatment. For this reason If I could change something about this book i would change the fact that he had cancer, so he could be normal like his other eight grade friends.

Selznick, Brian. The Invention of Hugo Cabret.New York: Scholastic Inc., 2007. Print and Pictures.
In the book, Hugo has stolen a key from a girl he's recently befriended. His new and only friend if the niece of a toy store owner, whom Hugo has gotten in severe trouble with due to the fact that he stolen parts and small toys to use for his own inventions. Hugo now realizes that his friend Isabelle's key fits. The question is why? After much wondering the two find out something incredible... In the beginning of the story Hugo had mentioned that his father used to take him to the movies on all of Hugo’s birthdays. Their favorite film was a about a famous painting of a moon with a telescope in its eye, that had been stolen and hidden. Until Hugo came along the painting was thought to be forever untouchable. Once Hugo and Isabelle had started the machine the automan drawn out the painting. "It had been hidden inside the clockworks of a well-loved machine, waiting to be released by a stolen key." (Selznick 255). If i could change one thing about any character I would change how discourteous the elder toy store keeper was toward Hugo.

In the book missing Jonah, an adopted child, has gotten a letter that says he is missing. Jonah’s friend Chip, who was told by his parents that he is not adopted, gets a letter similar to the one Jonah got. Chip then asks his parents if he is adopted and it turns out he is. If I could change one thing about this book I would change the relationship between Jonah and the finding out of these mysterious letters. Jonah is telling his friend and his sister, named Katherine, that he doesn’t want to be involved in any of this business. Also that his sister and friend think he’ll be happy and at peace when this whole thing is over. ”You’ll be so happy. You’ll be-at peace.”(Haddix 126)

Condie, Ally. Matched. New York: Penguin Group, 2010.
The thing that I would want to change in this book is that every thing is planed out for them. For example, in the book they get matched with someone and they have to get married even if they don't know each other at all. Also, in the book they have there death date written out for them. The day they die is at midnight on there 80th birthday, because the Society did some research and they got some results that said 80 is a good age to die. " I've waited so long for this: For my Match Banquet. Where I'll see, for the first time, the face of the boy who will be my Match. It will be the first time I Hear his name," ( Condie 4 ).

In Crossed, Cassia still searches for Ky. As she does Ky buries his companions one after another. " Vick digs next to me. Neither of us talk about the people we won't be able today. The ones that tried to climb to the snow" (Condie 22). He too thinks about Cassia at the same time. If I were to change something in this book it would be Cassia's location. She's in a work camp away from her family with many other teenagers. She always complains about the work, yet she likes how the dirt on her hands apparently remind her of Ky. I just feel compared to Ky's location, her's is very boring. He is at war way out in the Outer Provinces, and she is in a work camp for community service that is only about ten minutes away from a regular town district. Nothing interesting happens with Cassia in the camp, just that Xander visits, or she gets letters from her family." Xander reaches for my hand. 'We are allowed to go on an outing', he says, 'If you would like'"(Condie 24). I would personally have the work camp somewhere like a hidden facility deep in a forest. Where there are no visits, no connections with others, no escape. Hard work under the society, not planting crops. Then in order to find Ky she would have to figure out a way to flee the grounds and search for him.

If I could change anything about the main character it would be his word choice. I would change his word choice because it is hard to follow at times. He uses a lot of run on sentences which makes his opinion and descriptions hard to follow. “I cannot believe it. If I change one thing about the main character, Jason, I would make Jason have his memory again. I would make this change because Jason had lost his memory to Hera, and it is very annoying to constantly read about Jason asking about his past. Jason ends up meeting Aeolus, Lord of the Winds. Aeolus says that Jason has been there asking for help before, but he doesn’t remember and has to ask what happened again. “‘Like last time? Like every hero who comes here? Demigods! It’s always about you, isn’t it?’ ‘Sir, please, I don’t remember last time, but if you helped me once before---’”(Riordan 418)

"Listen here Mr.Cabbage head, or whatever you call yourslef. You'll get no bussiness here. Your not needed. In this book, Katniss must encourage every person in District Thirteen that she is the Mockingjay, so to do so she must be filmed. Katniss has to prove her worthiness for the title by going into combat. As Katniss and her bodyguards head to District Eight for her combat scenes they get into a terrible problem, the Capitol’s hoverplanes have started to bomb the area. If there was one thing I could change in this book it would be Katniss and her bodyguard’s location. I would change their location to a more rural area, so the wounded rebels that are in the hospital don’t become more injured or killed. “‘Incoming bombers,’ says Boggs, ‘He reaches behind my neck and yanks Cinna’s helmet up onto my head,’” (Collins 92). Even though Katniss and the rebels have weapons there are many chances someone can die, so I would change Katniss’s location to an area without people nearby.

There is not enough kids in then school to keep the school going on their small island. So, to solve this problem, Tess and Libby’s family have decided to adopt a foster child named Aaron. He has orange hair that is long and is thirteen years old. He does not seem to be very happy at all. They were not expected Aaron to be this boy! Now, they are trying to make Aaron feel more comfortable in his new home, but it’s not working at all. Even when their father made a joke, Tess said “When Dad looked away, Aaron rolled his eyes”(Lord 15).Furthermore, the one thing I would change about this book would be I would change the way Aaron is.
