Shane, Darren. The Thin Executioner. New York: Little, Brown and Company, 2010. Print.
My book takes place in the past, because they still have executioners, and their are no automobiles, or cellphones, but most of all their are still slaves. The most important place my book takes place in is the Mountain that the god lives in that will grant The executioners son Immortality. the mountain is full of secret caves, and the walls give off heat, the heat growing the farther you move in, until it's almost like a volcano. "As I walked through the corridor of the mountain, I could feel the walls getting hotter and hotter the farther I moved" (Shane 451).

We end up in Aberwyn,Pennsylvania, which is full of very wealthy people living in very huge and very old houses(Scott5)."

Wong, Joyce Lee. Seeing Emily. New York: Amulet Books, 2005. Print.
The setting in my book is the present. This book is the present because Emily is just like regular teenagers, and there’s nothing that happens in the book that makes me think it would be past. Also this book takes place in Emily’s family restaurant. “I work at the restaurant mostly on weekends , but today a lot of people called in so mama made me work until 5” (Wong 93). Everything that happens in the book starts at the restaurant.

Currently the setting in my book "Mocking Jay" is district two.The overall time period is in the future, where everything is split into districts. Katniss is in district two to defeat President Snow. " District 2 is a large district, as one might expect, composed of a series of villages spread across the mountains" (Collins 192)

Riordan, Rick. The Son of Neptune. New York: Disney Hyperion, 2011. Print.
The setting in my book "The Son of Neptune" is at Camp Jupiter. The time that it is set in is the present, were there are two camps, the greek camp and the roman camp. "Romans and Greeks have an old rivalry. Sometimes Romans use grecus as an insult for someone who's an outsider-an enemy." (Riordan 31).

What would you do if you were Dani and had to keep moving around all the time without a permanent home? Would you be mad at your parents?

Shepard, Sara. Pretty Little Liars. New York: Harper Collins Publishers, 2006. IBook.
The setting of this book is Rosewood, Pennsylvania. It takes place in the present. Right now the girls are at the Rosewood Abbey for Alison’s funeral. “Emily stood in the high-ceilinged, marble-floored nave of the Rosewood Abbey.” (Shepard 232). Maya’s family, the people who moved into Ali’s old house, found Ali’s body under the cement of the tennis courts. In this book there are a lot of flash backs to when Ali was still alive. Some of the other places this book takes place in are, Rosewood high, each of their houses, and Noel’s party.

The setting of my book takes place more in the future in an odd place called Panem. In Panem there is different districts and when rebels fought back they bombed the thirteenth district. The thirteenth district then hosted many rebels and that are fighting with the capital. District thirteen is the over all main setting through out the entire book. The setting is not too far into the future ,though because the some of the technology is more modern then future. "Are there Capital hoverplanes speeding in to blow us out of the sky" (16 Collins).

The setting of my book, at this point, is in Jemison. Clara Wilson's house to be more specific. There is also points when it switches to Amos Mackenzie's house. Clara lives on Genessee street and Amos lives close by, but it does not specify what street he lives on. The setting is also in the present time."Amos was so relieved at not seeing the Tripps all day that the first thing he did when he got home from school was call Clara" (McNeal 169).

The main setting in my book is Ford's theatre. right now the main character (John Wilkes Booth) is at a doctors house. He is getting his broken leg fixed.I feel that ford's theatre is the setting that is most important to the plot. "Will no one stop that man?" (Swanson 45) this quote is from the time in the book where Booth shot Lincoln, which was at Ford's theatre. The time at the setting is April 14 , 1865.

Paulsen, Gary. Woods Runner. New York: Scholastic Inc., 2010. Print.
In the book “Woods Runner’, the setting takes place in New York City in 1776. The setting takes place in New York City because Samuel’s parents were captured by the British, taken in as prisoners, and brought to New York City, the British headquarters . Now , Samuel has found them and is trying to escape New York City and go to Philadelphia were it is much safer for him and his family. Abner, one of the characters in the book, said to Samuel “ Just before you get into the swamp ,turn left and go southwest toward Philadelphia”(Paulsen, 143). Abner gave Samuel directions to get to Philadelphia from New York City, and these were part of them.

Westerfeld, Scott. Leviathan. New York: Simon Pulse, 2009. Print.
This book mostly takes place aboard the Leviathan. The Leviathan is a giant fabricated whale created by the Darwinists. Deryn’s and Alek’s locations change throughout the story, but they both end up traveling as part of the crew. “From the spine of the Leviathan, its silver flanks sloping away into oblivion, the sky was huge in all directions.” (Westerfeld 77). The actual time period of this book is based on the beginning of World War I.

My book takes place in the the summer after senior year. Remy is always out with her friends out partying at clubs or just hanging with her four best girl friends. If Remy isn't with her friends she is usually with her boyfriend listening to him play music. “I woke up with my mouth dry, my head pounding, and the sound of guitar music coming from the direction of the door,”(Dessen 110).

The setting in my book, at this time, takes place in a Chinese arena in the center of a Chinese city. The city is not specified, but in the book the time period is in the past, during the time of warriors, emperors and masters. In the arena, candidates must perform a sequence of perfected graceful movements in front of the emperor, the presence of the Rat Dragon and millions of people in order to be chosen as an apprentice to a Dragoneye. “We had entered a great circle of white sand. All around the edge, twelve huge mirrors faced inward, each in a heavy gold frame carved with the twelve animal signs and inlaid with jewels and jade,” (Goodman 88).

This book mostly takes place at Dave's house. The book is of Dave's life growing up in an unstabled household. The time in the book is in the 1970's. His house is not a homey place for him when he has time outside of his house he cherishes those moments when he is not being beaten to death by his mother. "As I approached mother's house, I looked up towards the sun, wondering if i would ever see it again."

Shusterman, Neal. Unwind. New York. Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. 2009. E-Book.
The setting of my book is in many places. There are four main characters; Risa, Connor, CiFy, and Lev. They are all separated; Risa with Connor, and Lev with CiFy. Right now Lev and CiFy are in Joplin, Missouri; all places in the book take place in the future. “NOW ENTERING JOPLIN.” (Shusterman 56%).The Reason Lev and “Ci” are in Joplin is because Ci has part of his brain from an unwind, therefor sometimes the unwind takes control of Lev’s thoughts/actions, the unwind wanted to get back to his home/hometown so they had to go. Connor and Risa found a secretive organization for unwinds and that brought them to some desert place where they will stay until they are eight-teen and legally cannot be unwound.

Sonnenblick, Jordan. "Drums girls and dangerous pie". New York: Scholastic press, 2004. Print.
The setting of my book takes place right now in the 2000s. This book take place in mostly three different locations. The first is in the main character's house. The second setting is in the high school where Steven is attending and third is his basement where Steven like to play his drum set. The author does not give many descriptions where the character live but I know that Steven's family live on the eastern seaboard .I know he lives on the eastern seaboard because in the book it says they had a three or more hour drive to Pennsylvania.

Stevenson, Sarah Jamila. The Latte Rebellion. Woodbury, Minnesota: Llewellyn Worldwide Ltd., 2011. Print.
The setting of this book is at Park High School, or sometimes at the other character’s houses. The main character lives in California, and the story takes place in current time. I say that the most important setting in this book is Asha’s high school. I say this because the high school is where Asha and her friends thought of The Latte Rebellion, and it’s also the place that The Latte Rebellion was mostly targeted at. For example, “ 5. Talk up The Rebellion. Whisper about it at school. Spread gossip about The Rebellions fabulous line of must-have clothing.” (Stevenson 25) This note was from Asha’s checklist of things do to get business started and to get her shirts sold online.

Werlin, Nancy. Black Mirror. New York: Dial Books, 2001. Print.
In the "Black Mirror", the setting is present. I know this because in the book it doesn't talk about things that has happened in the past, it has things that involve the present like boarding schools. The setting takes place at a boarding school called 'Penttengill School'. It also, takes place at the main character's, Frances, house." The Penttengill Shool, two years ago, i hadn't been able to stop our closeness from slipping away, until it was irretrievably gone. I used to blame Penttegill for that."(Werlin 6). These quotes showed that it talkes about Penttegill School a lot in the story because Frances goes there and Daniel, her brother, went there while he was living.

Condie, Ally. Matched. New York, New York: The Penguin Group, 2010. Print.
In the book Matched the setting is sometime in the future, hundreds of years from now. In this book the setting is in one of the inner provinces. Cassia, the main character, lives in the inner province on Mapletree Borough next to her best friend, her Match, and the boy she is falling for even though she has already been matched. It’s already hard the Cassia has been friends with her Match since they were born but, it makes it harder for her because she also lives a few houses away from a boy she has just started falling for but can never be matched. Cassia has to choose between the two boys but, she really has no choice or say in this all. She sees her Match every day and it’s amazing to her. “Xander reaches for my elbow as we turn the corner and leave Mapletree Borough.” (Condie 38)

In the book Birth Marked the setting is mostly in the enclave. In the beginning it was outside of it, but now the people went inside. It's also in the future. " My birth date? It's April fourteenth twenty-three ninety." (O'Brian 150). Now it's only 2011 and in the story it's past 2390 because thats one of the guards birhtdays. Also the setting is in a prison at this point. Most of the time, or at a person's house working for them. All together the setting is in the enclae and in the future.
